The City of Sanford continues to take the threat of the Coronavirus very seriously as this is a rapidly evolving situation. We are actively monitoring all levels of government communications, from Federal, State, County and fellow Municipalities.

Due to the continuing threat of the Coronavirus pandemic on our local population, starting Monday, March 23, 2020, City Hall will be closed to the public until further notice. We are taking this action to protect the public and our City employees.  City Hall will continue to be operational. 

Our customers can continue to have a seamless experience with the City of Sanford by doing business online.  More information can be found at Citizenserve, the City’s online portal for Business Tax Receipts, Oil and Grease Permits and Other Licensing/Permitting, Development Services and Zoning, and Code Enforcement complaints.

Our Utility Customers can access the City’s online bill payment services.  Please review the options for online bill payment by clicking here or call 800-830-9098 to pay your bill by phone, this number is available 24-hours a day.

The City of Sanford continues to strongly advise all residents follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention hygiene guidelines which include:

  • Avoiding close contact with people who are sick. If you are sick, stay home and practice “social distancing.”
  • Avoiding gatherings of 10 or more people.
  • Washing your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol if soap and water are not available.
  • Avoiding touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Covering your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, then discarding the tissue.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces.
