My Sanford Seminole Magazine Hosts 8th Annual
Best of Sanford Readers’ Choice Awards Gala
Sanford, Orlando North Seminole County, Florida — This year marks a significant milestone for My Sanford Seminole Magazine as we proudly celebrate our 10th anniversary! We are thrilled to host the 8th Annual Best of Sanford Recognition Readers’ Choice Awards Gala. The event will be hosted on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at the Ritz, Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center in Historic Downtown Sanford.
Ten years ago, Perla Bello-Crosby envisioned creating a local magazine to foster unity and goodwill in Sanford's diverse community. That vision materialized through My Sanford Magazine, which has since become a platform for sharing inspiring stories and
featuring local businesses and events. As the first magazine in town, it has grown to be
a staple in the City of Sanford as well as throughout Seminole County. Its Annual Best
of Sanford Recognition Readers’ Choice Awards Gala has become a signature event,
reflecting the community's love for working, living, and playing in Sanford.
100% of net profit from this year's Best of Sanford Gala will be donated to Love Mission, a Sanford-based organization dedicated to combat human trafficking by helping to mend broken lives and heal broken hearts through community awareness and
education. Love Mission's impactful work has plans with the funds from this gala and
solidarity aid to manage a project to open and operate a shelter in the Dominican Republic, providing refuge and support to those in need. Their mission extends globally, reaching remote areas to restore, educate, and build safe houses. Love Mission is a testament to Sanford's far-reaching commitment to helping communities near and far.
"This year’s event will honor my beloved Dominican Republic, the country where I was
born, in recognition of the fact that a Dominican founded the first Sanford tourist office, known today as MainStreet, the first local lifestyle magazine, and the first to award and celebrate the Best of Sanford in Central Florida. As an immigrant, much like the
American dream, it has been my dream to make a positive contribution for the city of
Sanford, the state of Florida and the nation," Perla Bello-Crosby, Founder & Editor My
