Sanford Invites You to Celebrate National

Historic Preservation Month in May

The City of Sanford is celebrating our historic districts, the Sanford Residential and Downtown Commercial District, and our newest Georgetown Historic District. The City of Sanford enthusiastically invites you to celebrate National Historic Preservation Month this May by submitting photos of any building, structure, object or architectural feature in the City of Sanford that has interest and meaning to you.

Grab your camera or phone and snap a photo indoors or outside with details that are at least 50 years old. That means from 1971 and earlier.  We hope to receive images from every historic neighborhood in the City. We encourage participation from residents of all ages.  There is no limit to the amount of photos you can submit.

The images will be displayed at the Sanford Information Center, Sanford Museum, Henry’s Depot and Deviant Wolfe Brewing. Photos will also be shared daily throughout the month of May on our City Facebook page.

Accepting photos April 1 – April 28. Submit your photo(s) with your name and a brief description in an email to SanfordSavesPlaces@sanfordfl.gov.
