It’s hard to believe that January is almost over and we’re well into 2021. I hope you and your family are staying safe and healthy. The FPL team has been working on several exciting and important projects that I thought would be of interest to you. Here’s an overview of what we’ve done recently.
FPL begins construction of the world’s largest integrated solar-powered battery system
This innovative technology will help customers benefit from solar energy even when the sun isn’t shining.
FPL donates drones to high school to support STEM education
Students will learn how to fly drones and build important skills needed to pursue careers in the commercial drone sector.

ManateeFest goes virtual with five days of free family fun Feb. 1-5
In celebration of Manatee Lagoon’s 5th anniversary, the center is hosting five days of online fun featuring a virtual storefront, children’s art contest, prize giveaways and more.
