The City of Sanford is providing enriching after school programming to include cultural arts, mentoring and sports to the youth of the Sanford community. Investing in the next generation of Sanford is integral to the future of our City.  Under the leadership of Sanford City Commissioner, District 2, Kerry S. Wiggins, Sr. expanded access to quality after school programming in the City of Sanford is now a reality.

Beginning Monday, August 17 the Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida, inside the Dr. Velma H. Williams Westside Community Center, located at 919 Persimmon Avenue will serve Kindergarten through Twelfth grade students. The Mellonville Center @ Tim Raines Sports Park, will serve Kindergarten through Eighth grade students, located at 1211 South Mellonville Avenue.

We recommend caregivers and/or parents attend an informational meeting offered at both locations for your convenience:

  • August 6 at 10am or 6pm located at the Dr. Velma H. Williams Westside Community Center
  • August 7 at 10am or 6pm located at the Mellonville Center @ Tim Raines Sports Park

Registration is limited and will be first come, first served immediately following the informational meetings.
