YARD WASTE COLLECTION
Due to the increased amount of yard waste placed at the curbside yesterday,
Wednesday, March 25, 2020, collection crews were not able to complete all
routes. Residents who did not receive service yesterday should leave their yard
waste at the curb. Haulers will collect garbage as normally scheduled today,
Thursday, March 26, 2020 and Friday, March 27, 2020.
Once the garbage routes are complete, the crews will collect any yard waste that was not collected on Wednesday, March 25, 2020. Please remember that specifically yard waste will only be collected from residents that subscribe to the weekly yard waste service and it must meet regulation. To confirm that you subscribe to yard waste collection you can visit My Resident Page at SeminoleCountyFL.gov.

CONSUMER ALERT: WORKING FROM HOME CYBER CRIME
Attorney General Ashley Moody issued a Consumer Alert urging Floridians to
guard against cybercrimes when working from home. While working from home helps
to slow the spread of respiratory viruses, more opportunities are created for
cybercriminals.
Ensure protection of sensitive customer information, trade secrets or other information while working remotely. Tips include:
• Use a secure internet connection
• Ensure all security software is updated and in working order
• Ensure your device’s operating system is updated regularly
• Create strong passwords, use different passwords across multiple
websites and applications
• Limit the use of work devices only for work activities, use personal
devices for leisure
• Lock work devices when not in use and never leaving them unattended
• Enable multi-factor authentication when available; some employers allow
employees to provide an additional email address or phone number to receive
codes to verify that the user is in fact the individual attempting to access an
account
• Contact your IT support provider if unsolicited verification calls or
codes are received; this is a sign that credentials were phished successfully,
but login failed because of multi-factor authentication
Anyone who suspects they are the victim of a scam should contact the Attorney General’s Office at 1(866) 9NO-SCAM or by visiting MyFloridaLegal.com.
